(Received February 22, at 9.40 a.m.) Mr Edgar Wallace, legislative representative of the American Federation of Labor, toll tho House Agriculture Committee that the present unemployment conditions were comparable with those of 1920, when there was a general depression in the United States. Mr Wallace stated that 40 per cent, of the potential labor power of tho country was now idle, whereas 20 per cent, was normally idle said that the general conditions wero far worse at present than in 1927.
