A message from Oakland, California, states that Captain Kingsford Smith is preparing the ’plane Southern Cross for a llight to Australia. He stated that he would make the attempt early in April, with Honolulu as the iirst stop. . The ’plane was transferred to Oakland from Mills Field yesterday.
