The monthly meeting of the Caversham Ratepayers’ and Householders’ Association was held on the 13th inst., Mr R. H. Todd presiding. Letters ’ were received from the Town Clerk with reference to work being done at the corner of Catherine and Railway streets, and also in Sidey street. The secretary, Dunedin Ratepayers’ Association. wrote with reference to the method of rating and the advisability of reverting to the ward system for election of councillors; and representatives were appointed to meet the combined associations nn March 20 and discuss these matters. It was decided to write the council -with a view to clearing up the corner of David street; and representatives . were appointed to wait on the Health Department on matters which required’ the attention of that department.
