SULLIVAN BEATS MACDONALD
SYDNEY. February IS. At the Stadium Sulfivau (11.4 f) outpointed Lachie Macdonald (11.1). The New Zealander forced the fighting throughout, but Sullivan’s superfine boxing enabled him to score the majority of the points. Owing to a badly gashed eye, the result of a collision of heads, Macdonald was placed at a considerable disadvantage, and missed points. The decision met with a mixed reception.
TROWJ3RN BEATS MILLER
MELBOURNE, February 18.
Reg. Troweru (lU.4| outpointed Bob Miller (10.1 J) in a fifteen rounds contest. It was a thrilling bout, marked by heavy punching. Trowern was within aii ace of victory in the fifth round. The Irishman made a remarkable recovery, being exceptionally game, but the New Zealander forged ahead in the final rounds.
