After lengthy discussion by the Methodist Conference on the proposal that the General Secretary of the Young People’s Department, tfm Rev. E P. Blamires, attend the World’s Sunday School Convention at Los Ar.geles in July, Mr Blamires was gi anted permission to withdraw from the trip. Conference received a deputation from the New Zealand Alliance which submitted a statement of its policy in connection with this year’s licensing poll. The deputation was received in committee.
