INDEPENDENCE FAVORED. LONDON, February 17.. Muzahim Bey, Iraq’s diplomatic agent in London, has been suddenly recalled, and is being replaced by the exPromier, Jafar Pasha. Muzahim Bey stated that he favored most friendly relations with Britain, but the members of the Iraq Cabinet knew that he was against the niandate. Iraq should have complete independence, against which the door was closed for another five years. As soon as ho reached Bagdad he would establish a now Nationalist Party. SHOT OH DUTY NIGHT-WATCHMAN MURDERED MELBOURNE, February 18. A night watchman named Patrick Fitzgerald was shot dead while engaged in his duties. It is believed he disturbed an intruder in the building.
