|Per United Press Association.] TAI'.MAIi IJXFI. February 17. Fire broke out at 11.45 last night in premises in the main street owned by Mr H, Goodwin, Wellington, and occupied by Mr M. Maltar, draper. The brigacle made a brilliant save. Tbo stock suffered no damage from fire and very little from water. Tins shop adjoins premises that were destroyed by lire a lew weeks ago. WELLINGTON 1 , February 17. A good deal of damage was done to the stock and fittings by a fire in a two-storied building used as sample rooms by the British Textiles, Ltd., on the top floor, and by Messrs Miller and Abeam, warehousemen, on the ground floor. The fire originated on the top floor. British Textiles, Ltd., was insured for £'6,’2on in the Northern Office, and Messrs Miller and Ahcarn for £23,090 in the Alliance. The building was owned by the A. H. Dickenson estate and insured for £IOO.
