CRUELTY TO HORSE

SUBSTANTIAL FINES INFLICTED [SrisciAU to I’ress Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, February 17. Reserved judgment was given by Mr Tate, S.M., this morning in the case in which P- B. Sole, W. Theobald, and Jack Kopu were charged with cruelty to a horse. The evidence disclosed that the horse was driven by defendants while it was suffering with broken shoulders. Solo was lined £ls and costs, Theo- . bald £lO and costs, and Kopu was convicted and ordered to pay costs.
