It is financed by donations from the Manufacturers’ Association and by the subscriptions ot the boy and girl members of the To Taumata Club, which is run as one ot the main activities of the department, but as this is a community centre, it it felt that the general should be called on for sympathetic interest and support from time to time, in order that this useful work may be effectively carried on and its scope extended. The secretary has access to the Various factories, organises thrift clubs, and endeavors to stimulate healthy refcreation and social intercourse amongst the workers. The objects of the Tc Taumata Chib, which has its headquarters at the club house, Anderson’s Bay road, are the 'establishment of right social relationships between boys and girls of the teen age and upwards, the fostering y healthy recreation both indoors and but-of-dcKK‘3 by the provision of suitable fadk&M, and the promotion of a right spirit ih industry. Tib garden party has been arranged b- the Executive Committee to provide more adequate funds for the boipmcc winter programme.
