STOCKTON BOREHOLE INQUIRY
NO ROYAL COMMISSION LEFT TO PARTIES CONCERNED. SYDNEY, February 14. The Government does not intend to appoint a Royal Commission to inquire into the Hoare bribery charges. It regards the matter as a domestic quarrel between the miners and the owners, which should bo left to the parties concerned to settle. The Government decided to take stops to bring about a conference between the mine owners and the miners with a view to improving the parlous condition of the coal trade.
