GAOL SENTENCE
THEFT OF CHEQUE [Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 13. Finlay Buchanan, aged thirty-two, 8 cook, piaded guilty to-day to the theft of a cheque for i‘2‘2, the property of Patrick How. The cheque had been posted to the Pier Hotel, Wellington. Iron) the office of Thomas Cook nnq Son, London, and was presented at the local office of that firm by accused, who took the letter from the hotel rack. Mr Salmon, S.M., imposed a three months’ sentence.
