(9.40 p.m.), 353 tons, Hay, from Port Waikato via ports. February 13. Corinua, s.s. (7.10 a.m.), 1,319 tons, Lowe, from Wellington. Holmdale, s.s. (8.50 a.m.), 081 tons, AVilliams, from Wanganui and Wellington. ■ SAlLED.— February 11. Opihi, s.s. (5.15 p.m.), 1,117 tons, Grey, for Port Craig. Theresa Ward, tug- (6.15 p.m.), 195 tons, Schofield, for Bluff. The Progress arrived last evening from Port Waikato and Wellington, and is to sail to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, New Pjymduth, and Port Waikato. The Storm arrived yesterday from Wanganui via ■ ports. She is to leave to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. After being in dry dock at Port Chalmers, the tug Theresa Ward sailed on Saturday for Bluff. She will take excursion traffic to Stewart Island during the Sanders Cup races. Later tho tug is to return to Port Chalmers for the dredge Murihiku, which is finishing her periodical overhaul. The Gorinna arrived this morning from Wellington, and is to load general cargo and sail this evening lor Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. The Kamona, which has been delayed in working on account of vain,_ was to sail this afternoon for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Kaikorai is to be recommissioned at Port Chalmers to-morrow morning, and is to sail in the afternoon for Bluff and Sydney. She will load at the Australian port for Bluff, Dunedin, and Lyttelton. The Opihi is expected to leave Port Craig to-morrow for Dunedin to unload timber. After discharge hero she will go to Wellington and Westport. Cabled advice from Vancouver announces the departure from there on Wednesday of the Union Company’s R. Niagara, with passengers, mails, and cargo for Auckland and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on February 27. Bound for Auckland, the steamer King Edwin is reported to have arrived at Colon on February 7. She left Port Arthur with case nil on January 15, and is due at Auckland on February 23 Her other ports of discharge will bo Wellington, Napier, and New Plymouth, thence Australia. The C, and D. Line’s steamer Port Melbourne left Auckland on Saturday for New Plymouth, thence Wellington and Lyttelton, to complete loading tor Home." She is to finally sail from the latter port on February 22 for London via Panama. The Port Caroline is to sail irom Wellington to-morrow for Wanganui roadstead to fill up lor Loudon. Slie is to sail from Wanganui about the end of tho week for Homo via the Panama route. The Sussex was scheduled to leave Newcastle on Wednesday for Java and Calcutta, where she will load cargo for the March and April fixtures for New Zealand via Samarnng and Singapore. The steamer Herminius, formerly the Waimann, cleared Balboa on February 5 in continuation of her voyage Irom Antwerp to Auckland. The vessel is bringing 6,000 tons of basic slag, and is due at Auckland on February 28. THE MELBOURNE STEAMER. The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka, from Melbourne, is to leave Bluff ’this evening for Dunedin, where she is due about 10 o'clock’ to-morrow morning to land passengers and discharge cargo. She is timed to leave again at noon on Wednesday for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Melbourne. CANADIAN FREIGHTERS. Cable advice has been received stating that the Canadian Transporter is to replace the Canadian Seigneur, sailing from Halifax on March 24 for New Zealand ports.
WESTMORELAND LEAVES P.ANAMA. Cabled news has been received by the Federal Company that the Westmoreland arrived at Panama on February 6 from Liverpool, and sailed again on February 7 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Fly' mouth. The vessel is due at Auckland on March 2. PASSENGERS ON CATHAY. The following passengers lor New Zealand arrived at Sydney last week by the P. and 0. liner Cathay:—Mr Bond, Mrs Venner, Miss French, Miss Davis, Miss Maunsell, Mr Maunsell, Mr Bowden, Mr and Miss Firth, Mr and Mrs Rautley, Mrs Brewer, Mr Cameron Waller. PERSONAL. The Wingatni was recommissioned at Auckland on Wednesday in command of Captain A. B. Sizer. His deck officers are as follow: —Chief, Mr E. A. Cox; second, Mr D. Luckett; third, Mr A. L. Wilkinson. Mr O. H. M. Long has relieved Mr J. Warcnp as chief officer of the Kittawa. The latter officer is on holidays at Lyttelton. Mr L. P. Bourke is now third officer of the Corinna, having relieved Mr 1. L. Russel] for his holidays. Captain R. Huntly has relieved Captain A. H. Howie in command of the Kittawa. Mr J. J. Lyon has relieved Mr D. J. R. M'Kenzie as second officer of the Katoa. Captain A. T. Totcn has arrived from Sydney, and is at present awaiting instructions at Wellington. The Kaituna is being placed in commission at Auckland to-day and is in command of Captain W. H. D. Gardner. His deck officers are Die following:—Chief officer, Mr F. G. Mahb; second officer, Mr D. J. RM’Kcnzie; third officer, Mr C. H. Vincent. MATAUOA -REPORTS. Radio advice received states that the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Mataroa, en route from London and Southampton to Wellington and Auckland, is expected to arrive at Wellington on Wednesday next, February 15. The vessel is due at Auckland on February 23. THE DEWEY COMING. From San Pedro, the American steamer Dewey arrived at Wellington this morning via Auckland. She is also to discharge at Tiniarn and Dunedin, being duo here about February 19. MADIA HOME. It is reported that the Mahia, which sailed from Fort Chalmers on December 24 for London via Punta Arenas ami Montevideo, reached Die Home port on February 7. CAMBRIDGE DUE TO-MORROW. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that the Cambridge, from Liverpool via northern ports, is due at Port Chalmers to-morrow to unload the remainder of her Homo cargo. Tile vessel’s future movements have- not yet been advised. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
