DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. The croquet tournament was continued at Palmerston North on Saturday. Results:— LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES. Mrs Caldow (Wellington) 26, Mrs Moiler (Wellington) 7; Mrs Rhodes Williams (Wellington) beat Mrs Caldow (Wellington) by default; Mrs Johnson (Christchurch) 26, Mrs Watkin (Hastings) 19: Mrs Petrie (Nelson) heat Mrs Hogan (Hastings) by default; Mrs Henderson 26, Mrs Murray (Hamilton) 5; Mrs Coutts (Auckland) 26, Mrs Acheson (Nelson) 21; Mrs Bennett 26, Mrs Schnaeur 2-5; Mrs Gambrill 26, Mrs Springs 16; Mrs Coutts 26, Mrs Henderson 16; Mrs Bennett 26, Mrs Boocock 13; Mrs Johnson 26, Mrs Gardiner 16; Mrs Watkins won from Mrs Laurie by default; Mrs Schnaeur 26, Mrs Bock 10. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES. Sir Francis Wemyss beat H. P. Stratton, 26-13, 17-26, 26-24; Miss Ratallick beat Archdeacon Creed-Meredith, 11-26, 26-11, 26-6. Semi-final.—Colonel Du Pre (England) beat Mrs Tiffen (Napier), 26-15, 26-21. The test match, which was uncompleted last evening, was continued this morning. Sir Francis Wemyss heat Stratton (Hastings), 26-24, in the final game of their match. The second game in the contest between Archdeacon Creed-Meredith (Wanganui) and Miss Retallick was won by the latter by 26 to 17. The deciding game has still -to be played. Coloned Du Pre and Miss Steel (England) heat A. G. P. Ross (Christchurch) and Caughley (Wellington), 26-16, in the England-New Zealand test match.
