CASE OF FREE HOLMES

FOR BURY PARK CLUB’S ACTION ENDORSED. [Feb United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, February 10. The appeal of Free Holmes, who was suspended for three months for crossing in the Stewards’ Handicap at the Forbury Park Meeting, came before the Trotting Association. The report of the Forbury Park Club Committee stated that it had ruled, and still held, that no appeal lay, as the question was one of fact. Tins contention was upheld by the association, and the action of the club was endorsed. Holmes applied for permission to attend race meetings during his tennof disqualification, but this permission was refused. The following horses in which Holmes has an interest were automatically disqualified ;—Rey de Oro, Eugene de Oro, Bonny Logan, Admiral Pointer, FI Carbine, Trix Pointer, Fstclla, Amos, Queen Bonilcne, and Bonita.
