STRANGE MAGIC HAND

FOUR THOUSAND YEARS OLD. The mummified hand of an ancient Egyptian priestess, which is said to contain “psychic healing powers,” and is claimed to have effected remark able cures at tile Temple of Light, the Spiritualist Church in Southwark Bridge road, London, was described recently by Mr W. H. Speer, president of the Temple. “Tho hand,” said Mr Speer, “is over 4,000 years old. It was discovered in a tomb encased in a gold casket. For years it was in the possession of an Egyptian family, who used it as a charm against evil spirits and a cure for illness. It was brought to England by a Mr Adams, of Finchley, who is a traveller. “ When held between the hands the hand gives out natural warmth, and throbs with psychic life. With tho aid of tho hand wc are able to bring about some wonderful cures. It acts as a medium between the patients and tho doctors who have ‘ passed over.’ “ When the hand touches ap affected part it at once produces relief, and in some cases it has been sufficient only to apply it a few times in order to bring about a complete cure.”
