EX-SIGNALMAN MISSING. Ronald Stewart Sutherland has been missing from Taiaroa Heads since last night. He is a returned soldier, and had been in the lighthouse service prior to joining the Harbor Board employment as a signalman at Taiaroa Heads, He had resigned from the board’s service a day or two ago, but_ had not left the Heads, where he resided with his wife and two children. About midnight last night he was reported to be missing, and this morning a constable from Port Chalmers and another constable from Portobello proceeded to the Heads to assist in the search. It is feared that he has been drowned.
