An order for immediate payment was made as follows:—Butterfields (Oamaru) v. J. H. Stewart (Normanby), defendant ordered to pay £3 14s (with costs 9s), in default four days’ imprisonment. ORDER FOR POSSESSION. “ The position is unfortunate, but an ‘order will have to be made,” said the Magistrate, when John Woods (Mr King) proceeded against Andrew Goodlet for possession of a tenement in Cargill road and for £9 6s sd, rent duo and mesne profits. —Defendant said he. was out of work and unable to get a house.—An order for possession on or before February 23 was made, judgment being given for plaintiff for £9 6s sd.
