OPEN-AIR ENTERTAINMENT
Du Saturday evening next at Carosbrook the public the public will he afforded a very unique entertainment, which will take the form of a quickstep exhibition by the Kaikorai. St. Kilda, Tramways, and Mosgicl Brass Bands, and the Dunedin Pipe Band. Most of these bands arc shortly proceeding to Christchurch to take part in the New Zealand band contest, and the public will thus have an opportunity' of hearing the various marches to be played at the contest, as well as seeing the bands going through the evolutions of the quickstep. In addition to the hands, a cycle race, 100yds, 300yds, onemile fiat races, one-mile relay race, cricketers’ relay race, and primary schools’ relay race will be held. In connection with the entertainment an art union is being held, tickets for which can be obtained at the Otago Snorts Depot, and these- tickets will also admit holders to the Carisbrook Ground. Those tickets will not be on sale at the gate.
