The editor of a sporting journal interviewed a conceited applicant for the post of reporter. After some time the editor, who saw through his pretensions, said testily: “Well, what can you write about—golf, cricket, tennis, football, swimming, lacrosse—?” “Oh, anything,” said the applicant, jauntily. ‘“Good. Right about turn,” said the editor. “The door’s behind you.”
