HARBOR BOARD PICNIC
The twentieth annual picnic of the Otago Harbor Board employees . was held at Outran! on Saturday under ideal weather conditions. About 300 journeyecl by train, leaving Dunedin at o.ou a.m., and returning at 6.55 p.m. the following are the results of the programme, which was carried out under the guidance of an efficient committee :
Girls’ Race. —Miss Michclio 1, Miss Hossick 2. Boys’ Race.—W. Rnddinian i, J. Harris 2. Single Men’s Handicap.—A. Ladington 1, D. Inglis 2. Single Ladies’ Handicap.—Miss G. Gallon 1, Miss B. Gould 2. Married Ladies’ Handicap.—Mrs Alexander 1, Mrs Henderson 2. Married Men’s Handicap.—A. W. Henderson 1, B. Drake 2, S. Darkness U
Married Ladies’ Race, Open.—Sirs MTherson ], Mrs Alexander 2. Open Handicap.—A. Price 1, G. Morrison 2. Harbor Board Handicap.—H. Kent 1, 0. Lee 2, H. Mnnsoy 3. Old Buffers’ Pace. —W. G. Morrison 1, T. W. Lee 2, W. Bird X Committee Pace.—J. Gould 1, J. Johnston 2, J. Galloway .'l. Old Ladies’ Race.—Mrs Dunne 1, Mrs Grey 2, Mrs M’Lonnan 3. The prizes were presented at'the conclusion of tho day’s enjoyment by the chairman of committee, Mr James Jackson.
