SAVOY CABARET ATTRACTIONS
The 1928 dancing season at the Savoy will bo ushered in with some great attractions, worthy of _ the do-minion-wide reputation which the cabaret holds. Ou Wednesday night, a fancy dress and masked ball will be held. The hours will be extended. The electricians and decorators have been working for several nights installing the latest in illumination and artistic effects, and the management is certain that the patrons will agree that the Tudor Hall has never looked more palatial and beautiful. At all times a reposeful hall, the Tudor will be the acme of delight to the eye and mind. Cup Dav at Wingatui will he celebrated with a race ball on Thursday night, when many visitors from other centres who have already booked tables will be present.' A happy week lor dancers will terminate on Saturday night, when a supper dance will he held. The feature of the functions will bo tho music. Under Mr Alf. Carey s leadership, a new hand has been formed, and, judging by tho rhythm, melody, and vim produced at the rehearsals, their performances on ball nights should create plenty of admiration. On race night the musical feature will bo ‘Horses.’ Mr Carey is a brilliant saxophonist and leader, and. with the engagement of Mr Art. Ceilings, tho baud will be strong in soloists. Mr Ceilings is a fcaujoist of world wide experience. The efforts of the Savoy management to give Dunedin the best in dance entertainment is certain to he appreciated.
