MAGISTRATE’S COURT

. TUESDAY, EEBBDARY 7. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) DEFAULT CASES. Judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended cases:—Otago Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd. v. David M'Phail (Fairfield), 10s 3d, goods supplied; Otago Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd. v. William Aitkenhead (Balclutha), £37 17s Bd, goods and horses; J. and A. P. Scott, Ltd. v. Victor Sfanley Campbell (Middlemarch), £4 16s, services rendered; The Citizens’ Loan and Finance Company, Ltd. v. Thomas F. Miilhern and William Templeton, £8 10s, balance due on a promissory note; J. Griffiths v. Stuart Parker, £3 9s 3d, balance owing lor goods supplied; Kate Oakdcn v. Percy Smith, £2l 17s 6d, for rent. JUDGMENT SUMMONS.

Williams Wiliams (Mr G. T. Baylee) claimed from Charles Nieper the sum of £4 11s, an amount due under a judgment summons. Defendant gave evidence concerning his earnings, and the Magistrate refused to make an order.

CLAIM FOR POSSESSION. Anthony Laurenson (Mr J. P. Ward) proceeded against William Clark for possession af a tenement in Steep street, plaintiff stating that lie was anxious to take it over in order to have it put in order. The defendant stated that he was married, with ton children, and would find it very difficult to got another house. His Worship made an order for possession on or before March 6, with costs (£2 Is). A MOTOR CASE. S. De Beer, motor dealer, proceeded against R. E. Richardson (Mr W. G. Hay) for the balance owing in the matter of a verbal agreement made between the two parties on the purchase of a new Austin saloon car, whereby defendant agreed to pay £lO extra for the replacement of the Cape cart hood on his second hand Austin, taken in part exchange. Evidence was taken, and plaintiff was non-suited with costs (£1 13s).
