HOGG AND CO.'S PICNIC
OUTING AT EVANSDALE. The employees of flic linn of Messrs Hogg and Co. held their annual picnic at Evansdale this year. There was an attendance of about 250. The prizes for various sports events were presented by the chairman of directors (Mr J. Brown), and Messrs Lee Smith and W. Gow. The following are the results of the various events;— Girls’ race (8-10 years)..—Tui M’Clusky 1, Rea Mason 2. Girls’" race (8-12 years).—Madge Pearson 1, Kathleen M'Clusky 2. Girls’ race (12-14 years).—Barbara Butler 1, Greta Mason 2. Boys’ race (8-10 years).—Len Swann 1, Jeff Allen 2. Boys’ race (10-12 years) .—Bill Cherry 1, Ralph Allen 2. Boys’ race (12-14 years) .—lan Roberts I, Stan Lucas 2. Single ladies. —Miss Merrilies 1, Miss Guthrie 2.
