OPEN AIR ENTERTAINMENT
Ou Saturday evening next an openair entertainment will be held at Carisbrook, when a most interesting programme will bo presented. The Kaikorni, St. Kilda, Tramway, Mpsgiel, and Dunedin Pipe Bands will give a. quickstep exhibition, and as most of these are shortly proceeding to the Now Zealand contest this will give the public an opportunity of hearing the inarch and seeing the bandsgo through the various evolutions. This is always a most attractive item, and is bound io appeal to the public. In addition a cycle race, 100 yards, 000 yards, mile, and mile relay, and a primary school relay race have also been arranged. In connection with this entertainmcnt_ an art union will also be held, the prizes being pictures valued at first prize £lO, second prize £5, third prize £3, fourth prize £2, fifth prize £l. These art union tickets will also admit to the entertainment. They will not be on sale at the gates, but can be obtained as advertised. Those desiring a chance in the art union should therefore make a point of securing one of these tickets. The programme will commence at 7.45.
