OUTLAW ARRESTED

(Received February 6, at 11 a.m.) Hein,, after a long chase, during ■which he eluded thousands of searchers (police and soldiers); was arrested at Weingarten, where he was discovered at the inn, complaining that he was starving. The man hunt was the most thrilling in German criminal history. [A police detachment of the Reichswebr formed a cordon. around a wood in Coburg, in which an, armed criminal named Hein took refuge. Hein was suspected of robberies and four murders A police sergeant, who jumped off a bicycle and attempted to arrest him, was shot through the head, and Hein rorio off on tho bicycle. A second police officer overtook him, and Hein took ambush in a ditch, exchanging a fusilade until the ammunition was exhausted. Hein,-who was thought to be wounded, escaped. He and an accomplice raided a post office at Christmas time, and shot two officials. The accomplice (Larin) was arrested. Hein afterwards shot two policemen who were trying to arrest him, one being killed.]
