THE WEEKLY COMPETITION
The competition is divided into two parts this week, hut each part must be done by all entrants. You can get motherland father—all the family if you like—to help you. 1 suspect that you’ll have to do so in the first pa;t, but the second part will be nice and easy. The first part is called ‘ Hunting for Relations the second is a cake competition. Give -the name_ of your father’s uncle’s brother’s sister. G’vn the name of your aunt’s mother’s father’s wife. Give the name of your mother’s nephew’s daughter’s son. Give the name of your brother’s son’s sister’s mother. Give thy name of your sister-in-law’s father-in-law’s grandson. Give the name of your sister’s father’*, stepson’s mother. Give " the name of your uncle’s father’s only grand-daughter. Give the. name of your brother-in-law’s wife’s grandmother’s husband. IT. What kind of cake would you bake for a. milkman? (Cream cake.) For a milliner? For an orebardist? For a carpenter? For a ranger? For a baby? For a diver? For a sculptor? For a, bricklayer? For the weather clerk? For a geologist? For a lollie manufacturer? This, competition will close on Saturday. February 11. The prize is the usual half-crown. AH EASILY MADE GOAL DUNK Instead of the weekly lollie recipi the following cool drink will be enjoyed by everybody. It is easily made, doesn’t cost‘very much, and won’t harm anybody. And it seems the right thing to give this hot weather ; What to get: One gallon of water, 11b of sugar, one teaspoon tartaric acid, one teaspoon cream of tartar,, one teaspoon ground ginger, one teaspoon essence of lemon. What to do; Put all the ingredients into the water, and let it stand for three hours. Stir it occasionally. At the end of three hours strain through muslin. It is then ready for dnnkrp. •Cheerio everybody. BIG BROTHER BILL.
