A message from Los Angeles states that the judge w r as compelled to order a recess in the trial of Hickman. A jurywoman fainted when she was forced to inspect photographs of the dismembered remains of Marion Parker, and some swayed in their seats. Counsel for the defence introduced pictures attempting to prove that by their horror Hickman must be insane.
