OVERCROWDED SCHOOLS.

Sir, —In last night’s ‘ Star ’ I was pleased to see that someone cared, how disgracefully overcrowded our schoolrooms are. In one room to-day there were fifty children crowded into a space that should accommodate only twenty. Proper accommodation for the children is certainly of primary importance, and it is high time money was forthcoming to build better rooms. Money is available, but is wasted on tilings of quite secondary importance, while children sweat and are badly taught for want of proper accommodation.—l am, etc., Wake Up, Parents.
