ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
HEAD INJURIES. Gavin MTntyre, aged about thirteen years, a son of the headmaster of the Timvald School, was seriously injured on the head through colliding with a motor car while cycling near his home. —Ashburton Press Association telegram. FATAL SKID. At the inquest at Masterton on the liodv of Reginald Haylock, who was killed when liis motor cycle skidded on loose metal, the coroner returned a verdict of accidental death, and added that the accident was undoubtedly duo in the excessive speed at which the deceased was riding the motor cycle over a newly-metalled road. HEAD AND BODY ABRASIONS. Head and body abrasions, received through colliding with a motor truck while cycling along Cargill road, necessitated "the removal of Harold Tyrrell to the hospital at 5.20 last evening. Tyrrell’s age is. twenty, and ho resides at 8 Balfour street. North-east Valley.
A Marten Association message stales that the death occurred at Kakarilu of a middle-aged half-caste, Knnura Thompson. He rose yesterday morning early, and later was found lying on ms bed 'suffering from violent pains m the stomach. lie died before a doctor arrived. A post mortem has been ordered. Deceased was married.
