At the inquest on Carmclio Caraci, the coroner returned a verdict of wilful murder against Salvator Scalisi, whom he committed for trial. [A cablegram from Sydney on September 3 slated that, following a quarrel which lasted several days, an Italian named Carmelo Caraci, a machinist, was fatally shot while working a circular saw at a wood turner’s shop in St. Peter’s. His fellow-employee rushed the man to the hospital, while the others held a man who had a smoking revolver in his hand. Ho proved to another Italian named Salvator Scalisi, and ho was arrested and charged with murder.]
