Sir William Sim will return from Christchurch on Thursday night and will hold a final sitting in banco and chambers on Friday before leaving for Wellington^to sit on the Court of Appeal. Hon. D. T. Fleming came up from Balclutha by this morning’s express. Air A. L. Adamson, secretary of the Invercargill Chamber of Commerce, passed through on bis way to Wellington to-day. Air James Afilno travelled from Invercargill by the through express this morning en route to Wellington. Dr R. G. B. Sinclair, tho wellknown ex-Otago and All Black Bughy footballer, who has been on a visit to Dunedin, returned to Hawcra by this morning’s express. Mr R. P. At a meeting of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce last night a motion of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr Peter Horens (secretary of tho chamber) was carried, members standing in silence. , Private advice received in Christchurch from England announces the death of Air Spencer Lorraine, who lor some years was a well-known■ teacher of singing throughout tho dominion.
