The banking section was again firm, and with the exception of New Zealand Insurances, which were a little weaker, the same could bo said of the insurance Section. Auckland Amusement Parks fare responding to the favorable balancefSheet, and quotations [or_ the ordinary issue this morning were 16s and 16s 9d ; the preference shares were wanted at 20s, but no seller nibbled at the otfer. Waihis seemed slightly easier, buyers offering 21s with sellers Is away. Electrolytic Zincs have improved, and a rise of from practically 6s to 4s has been noticeable during tire last week', buyers of the prelerence issue at pus were met this morning with a selling quotation of 31s 3d; the deterred ords. had a seller at 30s, hut no buyer.
