In the Police Court Patrick Cunningham, confectioner, was fined £lO for failing to close on the statutory halfholiday." An inspector stated that be had received numerous complaints of defendant having sold cigarettes. Evidence was given by a second inspector of having purchased cigarettes on the half-holiday. Defendant said ho was in the hospital at the time.
