Tho Rosehill Spring Meeting was hold yesterday in cold, wintry weather, with occasional showers, but tho track was in fairly good condition.’ Tho Now Zealand contingent was successful in only ono race, although scoring places. In the Hurdle Race, Asleep, which was greatly fancied, was only beaten in the last few strides. Limerick maintained Ids reputation, and in a great finish in the Hill Stakes ho earned an ovation from the spectators when he came away and won from Gothic. Amounis also made a great run, hut could not get on terms with the leaders. Limerick was not at all extended, and showed that ho could have won without the slightest effort. His form to-day greatly impressed tho spectators, and advanced him considerably in popular favor for the Spring Meeting. Results; —

Tho ‘Sunday Sun,’ commenting on Limerick’s win yesterday, says:—“He made his title clear to the super-class as a racehorse, and nothing more brilliant nr decisive than his victory in the Hill Stakes could ho imagined.
