Classrooms opening by means of folding partitions on to tennis lawns, windows oiazecl with glass to admit tho ultra-violet rays, largo playing fields, changing rooms, and baths aro features of the Central Schools, Staverley road, Chiswick, W., the most up-to-dato schools in the country, recently opened. Tho schools, for 380 boys and the same number of girls, have their own theatre and cinema projector, telephones in every classroom, so that the head master can speak to his assistants, and centrally-controlled clocks. The , medical officer’s intention is to arrange for classes sj that the health of those in rooms glazed with the ordinary glass and the rayadmitting glass may bo compared.
