LORD MAYOR'S PARTY
■ More than 1,100 railwayman—directors and workers of all grades—wore the guests of Sir Rowland Blades, the Lord Mayor of London, and the Lady Mayoress, at the Mansion House, ihoy came from all parts of England to attend a reception—the first of a scries which Sir Rowland is holding, with tlio object of securing peace in industry by bringing employers and men together. Greasers, porters, carnage cleaners enginemcn,. and stokers mingled' with general managers secretaries, directors and heads of departments, and a director of the L.M.b. Railway found himself having an ammated discussion with a centrifugal ongineman from the G.W. Railway.
