BUTTER AND CHEESE. Messrs Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from London, dated September 15: —The market for butter and cheese is slow. Quotations are as follow tor dairy produce Danish butter, 192 sto 1945; Now Zealand, finest salted, 178 sto 182 s; Australian, finest unsalted, 132 s to 1345; Australian, finest salted, 174 s to 178 s. New Zealand cheese, white and colored, 93s to 100 s; Canadian cheese, white and colored, 98s to 100 s. Total , butter imports into tho United Kingdom last month, 4Gs,ooocwt; same period last year, 465,000 cwt. LONDON MARKETS. Tho Otago Farmers’ Co-op. Association, Ltd., lias received tho following cable from London “ Butter; Firm, but inactive. Now Zealand, 178 sto 180 s. Cheese: Steady, 99s to 100 s. Mutton and lambs: The market is firmer, and value advancing slightly owing to reports of shortage of Australian and Argentine for the coming season.” The directors’ report of the Auckland Amusement Park, Ltd., deals in detail with the happenings of the year’s operations—the first year of the life of the company—and announces many fresh attractions for the coming season. The balance-sheet discloses the fact that a 10 per cent, dividend was paid on preference shares and_ 25 per cent, on ordinary shares during the year. The assets are shown at £38,213 (on a nominal capital of £40,000), including cash on deposit and in hand £10,989. The takings, rentals, and other sources last year—which was a broken period owing to a fire and to bad weather —amounted to £24,580.
