A small boy, having run an errand, was asked to go another. “Eh, but I canna,” ho said. “I’m going to t’ pictures.” It was pointed out to him that it was only 6 o’clock, whereas the cinema did not open till half-past. “Eh,” he replied, “but I’ve got to go home now and start to cry, an’ mother does’na give t]io money till half-past.”
