THE DAYLIGHT SAVING BILL.

TO THE EDITOR. Mr H. L. Taplcy, M.P., was a pnsof becoming law. Too much cannot be said in admiration of the perseverance, the patience, and courage he has shown in bringing it to the present stage. It has been a long fight for progress, for youth, and health against ignorance and prejudice. It is now fully up to all who will benefit to make some practical acknowledgement to Mr Sidey for what ho has done. Mr Sidey is not the kind of man to look for a personal presentation; but the cause of education generally and the Otago University in particular has always been dear to him. I suggest that all sports bodies throughout the country should make a levy of, say, Is per member, the total amount which would and should bo large, to be devoted to some branch of university work and to bear Mr Sidcy’s name.—-I am, etc., Citizen. September 17.
