General Chiang Kai-shek, the former generalissimo of tho Cantonese Nationalists, is travelling incognito on the French steamer Chenonceaux, which passed through Colombo bound for Marseilles. Ho smuggled himself aboard the steamer as a third class passenger, using an assumed name. His . destination is said to bo the United States.— ‘The Times.’
