On Monday last at 8 pm. Leith Lodge, No. 4,1.0.0. F., held its fortnightly meeting in tho Albany Street Hall, when the V.G. officiated in the absence of the N.G.. from whom an apology was received. Shortly after tlio lodge was opened, the officers and members of Linden Lodge were admitted officially, and tho acting N.G. requested the 'visitors to take charge of tho meeting. The usual business was disposed of in a brisk manner, and a short recess was declared, during which time tho visiting N.G. entertained those present with a few tunes on the piano. On resuming business the correspondence was read and received, and various accounts were passed for payment. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded tho visitors, to which they suitably replied. After the lodge was closed all present enjoyed themselves at various card games, and finally participated in supper provided by the lodge. Last evening the Dunedin Meccano and Hobbies’ Club turned out in force, the subject of the evening’s lecture being ‘ Wireless,’ Mr M'Connell, who had kindly consented to address the club on e/or-popuar subject, gav« an interesting and non-technical talk on various phases of the hobby, and on concluding a concert broadcasted hv station 2YA, Wellington, was heard bv those present, this forming an appropriate ending to a very successful even* ing.
