The Australian took heavy punishment in the sixth and .seventh rounds, ns he was trying to recover from weariness. lie then fought madly in the eighth, landing repeatedly on' Finnegan’s jaw; and in the ninth and tenth he fought strongly, and had much tlie better of the exchanges.
