NORTH-EAST HARBOR BOATING CLUB
ANNUAL REPORT The annual report of the North-east Harbor Boating Club, which is to be presented at the annual meeting, states that another very successful season had been reported. Tho membership had been well maintained, and a keen interest had been displayed by members and residents of tho district. Tho opening day had been a success, and the committee was indebted to tbe ladies who assisted in making tbe function a success. A picnic had been arranged for tbe ladies at tho Fish Hatcheries, and the committee desired to thank the boat owners who had placed their boats at the disposal of the committee. Mr AV. Strang had presented a cup to tho club, and the committee had allocated it to a race for local boats, it being won by the Betty (H. Riddell). The usual cluli races were held, and wore keenly contested, though tho overlapping of race dates among the various clubs drew some of the competitors away. A number of socials were hold during the winter season, and at one of them tho prizes won during tho summer were presented, During tho year numerous improvements wore effected at the shed. The committee room was enlarged and renovated, a dressing room was provided for bathers and rowers, and a now winch was installed.
