AUCKLAND V. OTAGO Saturday's fixture at the Calodonfad Ground promises to be one of the greatest League games ever staged in Dunedin. The game will bo for the Northern Union Cup, a trophy given to New Zealand by the English Rugby League.Auckland, the present holder, has sportingly agreed i o play for it on tha challenger’s ground. Tiie Otago team has been in strict training for this match under the capable coaching of Mr E. Watson. Hh has reorganised his team, and it should be the strongest that has yet represented the province. Harry Thomas is coining to town to take his place in. ths scrum, and will captain the team. Auckland is putting in ' a stronger; side than that which represented it against Canterbury. Included in thei team are such footballers as Gregory* Dufty, WctherajJ, List, Little, DixonS and Webb. These are of the highest calibre. The team includes} several of the Rugby League All Blacks! who toured England last year. _ During the interval a two-mile am»tj teur cycle race will be run for trophies! presented by the League.
