The death is announced of Mr» AVinifred Guy, wife of the Rev. James Guy. The deceased lady was horn at Berkshire, England, in 1852, and came to New Zealand in 1879. For lortycight years she has shared her husband's labors, first in the Primitive Methodist Church, and later in the Alcthodi&t Church of New Zealand, in various districts, including Grccndalo, Auckland, New Plymouth, Christchurch, Invercargill, Wellington, Dunedin, Ashburton, Waimato. Tcinuka, and - Raiigiom. Airs Guy was keenly interested in all branches of church work. For some years she bad suffered from heart trouble, but always bore her illness with great fortitude and clu'orfulnes. The end came suddenly alter a few days’ illness. She is survived by her husband, one son, Air H. F. Guy (solicitor, of Kaikohe, North Auckland), Aliss Guy. Airs W. AI. Roberts (Dunedin), and Mrs H. L. Hartley (Pahiatna). —Chrislelmrck correspondent. Among the visitors at the Grand Hotel are Alessrs G. G. Virtue and C. A. Ramsay (Sydney), Air C. Rhodes (Auckland), Messrs W. Sim, C. D. Alitchell, J. L. Alorrison, J. I!. IJelliwell, R. J. Gaul, and Airs Bonshae (Wellington), Mr and Airs M'Kibbon and Mr A. Hams (Christchurch). Recent arrivals to the Excelsior Hotel include Air J. 11. Gilmour (Gisborne), Air A. H. Sinclair (Wellington), Air C. Squire (Palmerston), Aliss H. Burnett (Queenstown), Air and Airs A. Scott (Gore), Air A. Latter (Invercargill).
