TRI-COLOR FAIR
The South Dunedin Salvation Army Hall presented a busy appearance yesterday afternoon, when the Army’s Tri-color Fair was officially opened by the Mayor of St. Kilda (Mr R. W. Hall). The various stalls were nicely decorated with colored ribbon, and they contained a varied range of material for sale. The stall-holders are as follow: .Drapely stall, Mesdamcs Walker and Carey; grocery < stall, Mrs Morris; Social Home’s drapery stall; Homo League’s cake stall, sweets, Mrs Buttimore; fruit salad and live-saving guards; meat, Mr Coulter; ice cream, Misses Mary Jones and Rene Walker; flowers, Miss Alwin Bowie; variety, Bandsmen W. Carey and D. Lamond; and toys, Master E. Lamond. The tea rooms are being organised by Miss Bowie and assistants.
The fair was continued last evening, when a special programme was given by tho South Dunedin Presbyterian Choir. An entertainment is to bo provided this evening by the Good Templars.
