LIBERALS-NATIONALISTS
HOPES Of RAPPROCHEMENT tPn» United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 14. Although a complete understanding, as it is termed, has been reached between the Liberal and National political organisations, a definite settlement and complete reconstruction of the parties still remains but a possibility of the future. The quarterly conference of the new Liberal Party will be held before the session ends, and more is likely to be heard of the matter then. Supporters of the amalgamation movement have been heartened by the decision of the Nationalists not to contest the Raglan seat, and they are waiting to see whether any of the Nationalist members will take the hustings in support of the selected Liberal nominee. Invitations have been issued to thorn to speak in tho electorate during the campaign.
