CATTLE A LITTLE CHEAPER Fat cattlo were cheaper at Bnrnsida to-day, and sheep eased during the sale. Fat Cattle.—A yarding of 225. Tho quality was generally good, and was composed of extra prime bullocks, some plain steers, a. number of prime cows and heifers, and a few extra heavy bullocks. There was a fair demand, slightly easier than last week. There was every prospect of the prices improving to last sale rates. Prices: Extra prime heavy bullocks, £l9 .to £2l 10s; price, £l(3 10s to £18; light, £l2 15s to £l4 ss; best heifers, £ll to £l3 10s; price, £8 12s Gd to £9 sst' best cows, £l2 to £l4 15s; prime, £7 15s to £8 10s. Fat, Sheep.—A penning of 1,276. Tlieer was a good average entry, wliirli included a few special pennings of extra heavy wethers, not many ewes, and a sprinkling of line-wool wethers. The sale opened well in advance of last week’s reduced rates, light sheep depreciating 3s and heavies about 2s Gd. There was a continuous strong demand to tlie end. The prices eased a little. Prices; Extra heavy wethers, 61s 6d to 655; prime heavy, 45s to 475; medium. 33s to 425; light. 34s to 365; host ewes, 39s>to 42s 3d; medium, 32s 9d to 365; light. 18s to 20s. A few fat hoggets sold from 25s to 355, according to condition. Store Cattle.—A yarding of about 200. The entry was mixed, and included about twenty young medium steers, a few fair throe-year-olds, and the balance was made up of young cows and varied qualities. There was a fair sa Ic. Tiled inm Ihree-ycar-olds made £8 9s and two-year-olds £5 9s to £6 10s. Conditioned cows were selling at last week’s rales.

Pigs.,—A penning of 142 fats and 105 stores. The fafs were considerably easier than previously, and tho stores sold at last week's rates.
