ALLOWED TO GO HOME, A first offender, who declared that, lie had just come out ol hospital alter being a patient for nine weeks, was charged with drunkenness. Constable Smytii said that the man had been found sitting at the corner of the street in a dazed condition, and had been drinking methylated spirits, Defendant, who appeared to be in a shaky condition, said he would, if given ths chance, return to his home in the country and would not again drink methylated spirits. The Magistrate; Convicted and discharged; and don’t you come back hero again. . Defendant: Thank you sir; thank you; thank you kindly.
