CLYDESDALE PARADE
Tho entries for tlw annual Clydesdale stallion parado closed yesterday with a total of thirty-eight, as compared wiili forty-four tho previous year. In the class for stallions, four years old, the following stallions have been entered:— Archaic, Victory, Winsome Favorite, -Marengo, Scotland’s Discovery, I'rilliantshinc, Bridgcbank Chancellor, Kay of Hops, Desire, Brunstane, Duplicate. For the Clydesdale Horse Society Cup (Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Lid) nine entries havex been received. Fntrios for this cup must bo passed by Government veterinary surgeons as being free from certain hereditary diseases as confined in the conditions. These stallions will be examined tho day previous to the parado in tho Otago Farmers’ Co-operative Saloyards. The competition this year will bo interesting, as in some of the classes several of the animals meet in tho ring for the first time. Mr John Wyllic, Omihi, and Mr Alex. Hunter, Hawera, have accepted the position as judges. For the convenience of tho public arrangements have been made with tho manager of tho Dunedin City Tramways to run Tahuna Park cars to the show gates between 10 a.ra. and 11.30 a.m., and again after tho parado is over. In addition to tho horses entered the Clydesdale stallion Sir Leslie and trotting horso Four Chimes will be on exhibition.
